Build review on Klone RC 50 size Heli Kit (KL1001) - Silver CF

IMO this is the best “Raptor” ever, it is an interesting mix of a Thunder Tiger Raptor 50 airframe/drive with an impressive new eCCPM geometry.
In each kit you can choose to use either 120* or 140* CCPM control! The eCCPM conversion kit is also for sale separately would you wanna convert your R50. IMO this is the best upgrade you can buy for a Raptor, having owned a R50V2 myself I could really tell the difference.

They offer the kit in various anodized colours, blue, red and silver and there is also a choice for a GF or CF eCCPM servo tray, I build the silver anodized CF version Klone RC 50 size Heli Kit (KL1001) - Silver CF.
They also include a “KLONE” 50-size muffler which I ran on my OS50 Hyper, the muffler is quite good, it is really quiet and makes decent power!
You basically get a fully upgraded Raptor which has all the bling/metal you would like to have. The quality of the carbon and metal is really good!

Building the heli was no biggie certainly having owned / built Raptors before, the fit of the eCCPM tray is just 100% really nicely done!

I’ve flown it several times now still braking in the motor but it flies really good, it feels lighter than a Raptor and it is certainly more agile.

Take a look at some of the pictures I shot after I completed the build video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvM4UuQu7sU
I will try and shoot some video while flying the KLONE some time soon, so check for updates!

Specifications:
Length: 120 cm
Height: 41.2 cm
Width: 20 cm
Main Rotor length: 600 mm
Tail Rotor length: 85 mm
Gear ratio: 1: 8.5:4.56
All in weight with blades, engine, muffler, radio system : 3240 grams

What do you get when you combine the world's most sold heli's oem parts, some much needed upgrades and fixes, ccpm conversion, some carbon and fiber, some new designs, new 3D tuned quiet muffler, fiber glass painted canopy, fiber blades, bits and bobs... ?

You get the Klone 50 - the next best thing to 3D and to stick bang about. All that speed, power and agility in a new light weight design with still the cheapest parts about to repair.

Features included in the kit:
1. Glass fiber prepainted canopy

Hi nwolsink!

The Klone is a nice machine. I have one myself and competed in the 3DX Singapore 2009 with this machine. However, i would to suggest that you put rubber tubing on the servo tray where the wirings are running out from the servos.

Here is a video of Joson from Taiwan competing in 3DX Singapore 09.

I have been flying the Klone for 10 tanks now and its fantastic. To be able to tell the difference between my old Rappy 50(mavrikk metal rotor head, hard dampeners, light paddles) and Klone, I used the exact same electronic.

My 9252s were a little slow on pitch arm on my Rap 50. Since the Klone is eCCPM, 9252s are lightining fast. I really liked the way it flies.

Screws came with my kit are better quality then the TT .

I should say, klone is more agile than a Rap 50. I really like the way it flies. Parts quality is not bad either. A perfect practice and cheap repair heli.
