Elevated Rc makes a great carbon frame set for the Vibe 50. Check them out. It might save your a lot of work.

10. Tape frames together to drill out mounting points using a carbide tipped drill (this way the holes will be accurate from frame to frame)

The way I drill out holes and makes for no errors is use two bolts and bolt the frames together on opposite end of the frames. That way they stay perfectly aligned as drilling out all the holes.

aren't there any companies in the UK who will take your frames and make carbon sheet copies of them? Might be worth your while if a lot of you order in bulk since most of the cost I've been told is in the setting up the dimensioning.

I’ve just been reading this thread and thought you might like to see how I cut my frames, I’ve only cut alloy this way but I’m sure with the right bit it would cut carbon, all I do is stick a paper drawing onto the sheet using wallpaper paste and drill holes in the internal cuts for the bit to start, clamp a hand router in the vice and then cut the sheet leaving the line on and finish it off with a file, it takes a while but the end result is worth it.

The problem is the price of carbon in the UK just like most other things I was quoted something like £160 for a 1000 by 800 sheet, it was suggested I try using G10 circuit board from the electrical suppliers but I haven’t tried it yet.

i still want to see a integrated circuit frame where the servos/electronics just plug into the frame maybe a gyro chip built in .. that would be sweettt although cracking the frames would be EXPENNNSSIVVVEEE but would be a cool project anyways

Just found this in the UK but I’m not sure if it will be good enough for making frames.
The first link is for the data and the second link is the product, maybe someone in this field could chip in on the quality needed.
