My Posts This: Topic Forum | Yeah, I can see a whole host of problems using one of these. First off, disturbing the case of a properly funcioning gyro doesnt sound like a good idea to me. Second you're adding mass to something that is very vibration sensitive and third, instead of protecting in a crash, it's likely increasing the G-load against the gyro as the aluminum won't absorb as much crash energy, it'll transfer it. These are my theories without having seen one, read the directions or tried using one. It does look like a great opportunity for bling for the heli flyer that ran out of things to bling.
