hey guys, quick question

My Uncle who brought me into this wonderful hobby has decided to sell his champion, its a mid 90's champion, has a bent main shaft from a blade strike to a fence pole. the heli has sat for about 12 years since, he has the shaft, motor is gummed up not sure of condition of the bearings. typical o.s.61 heli motor.

just wondering what its worth with motor old futaba rate gyro and the servos but no receiver.

I am going to get some pictures this week and post it but would like to get an idea on what there going for!!

thanks for the help

Go to the "search" function here on RR found under the RC Helicopter logo on top of the page.....click on that....

Then on the upper left, select "classified forums only" and then type in "champion" as the key word and execute the search....

You'll have 7 pages of results that you can easily sift through and get an idea what your heli might be worth....

Searching the champion was my first course of action before posting my question, I did find some prices, the thing is if I do the search and not a post, it does not help me get the word out that I have the heli for sale. I will post it in the for sale section when I decide on a fair asking price however since I have had numerous PM's about the Champion just from my post I would say it was very helpful for me to post the question out-loud as apposed to quietly doing the search.

I do understand that a lot of new guys just post the typical questions without even looking at the previous posts. I looked, just figured it to be good sales tactics.

If you've "done the search", then you already have a fairly good idea what it's worth.... Why not just go to the classifieds and make it known it's available ??

In addition, you might want to go to Fleabay and do a search there as well on the same topic on auctions that have ended....

I hope you don't also take offense to that suggestion. My intent in either case was/is to try to help you.....
