Battery Buddies are vinyl caps that fit on popular Deans Ultra* T-style electrical connectors. Battery Buddies come in two colors to help you keep track of which batteries are ready to use and which need a recharge. With color coded batteries, it's easy to avoid the surprise of running a discharged battery! Battery Buddies show charge status at a glance. Molded finger grips make it easy to attach and remove the caps. Use Red Battery Buddies on fully-charged batteries, and Black Battery Buddies to indicate batteries that need a charge.

Think Red for CHARGED, and Black for DEAD.

Battery Buddies make it easy to spot the charged batteries.

Battery Buddies also protect your battery against dangerous short circuits by completely covering the exposed terminals.

Battery Buddies fit the male and female Deans* style connectors...

...and have a variety of other handy modeling applications! Use them as exhaust plugs, carburetor plugs, protective caps for glow plug igniters, and more.

BatteryBuddies are available for sale at: http://www.batterybuddies.com

I have a much cheaper and easier way to store and track my batteries. If its used is velcro wrap the plug down and turn it in the battery storage. I have a box that I store my batteries in. If the are turned one way they are good if they are velcro'ed and/or turned they need charged. Hasnt failed me yet.

But interesting idea. Except I would have to go with black for good and red for bad. Red always means "stop" to me.

Sure there's more than one way to skin a cat, but only one way thats funny every time.

^^^^^^^^I started doing that at first but then realized I was lazy. I didnt like to have to undo the velcro to use it. I like to pull it out, slap it in and go fly. When it comes out of the bird it gets a quick wrap of velcro and back in the box....LOL.

Battery Buddy

I use an elastic band wrapped around lipo, if connector is not held by elastic it needs charging, if lipo is held by elastic, battery is fully charged

The name is a little mamby-pamby. You should go for the urban market and rename them Battery Bitches.

What's funny, is that in industry color coding, Red means live, or hot circuit, and green means open, or dead circuit. So, all you prof electricians out there would probably use them backwards from everyone else.

I have an EC3 connector here and BatteryBuddies will fit, although it's more of a stretch than with the Dean's connectors. PM me your shipping address ink and I'll send you a set to try out.

Will these fit snugly over a standard servo type leed, like the ones you plug into your receiver? I was thinking I could put one over my dangling charge leed for my Duralite batteries that tend to get soaked with fuel/oil from the exhaust.

Sorry, but they fit Dean's Ultra style connectors, and would be too big to fit a servo lead connector.

I have been doing the same thing for years using ones we buy to cover bolts on a couple products we manufacture. I use them to protect the end from a possible short that can cause fire.

These are great !!!

I use a lipoly sack but have always worried a bit about my batteries possibly shorting out somehow. These help take some of that worry away.

They also are awesome for knowing which batteries are charged and those that are not.

I highly recommend them. Great idea, great product, great price !!

Sure I could purchase a ton of them from some manufacturers site, but my time is much more valuable then trying to save a few cents (you actually end up spending more because of minimum purchases). Just buy them from Battery Buddies, it's quick and easy.

Besides, wouldn't you rather give your business to somebody in this great hobby instead of some big company that makes stuff.
