The long awaited volunteer list is out and ready to be filled.

Click the link below to be redirected to the volunteer page.

Or you can get there by going to the 2009 Jamboree page at [www.ircha.org]

We are looking for volunteers to fill the following spots.

Flightline - Duties include driving the pilots to the flightline from the pilot tents, watching the flightline for safety issues, verifying that all pilots are wearing wristbands, etc.

If you sign up for a slot and cannot work PLEASE let us know prior to the jamboree, we have several people that are willing to fill in. EMAIL me at secretary@ircha.org if you need to change a time slot.

ALSO, If a time slot that you wanted is taken I cannot change it for you unless you have authorization from the person you wish to switch with.

Percs?

Shannon,

Are there any percs to being a volunteer? I heard that last year, they had their own raffle, or free registration. Just curious. I've been interested in volunteering, but was wondering if there was anything special about volunteering

Do you have to be a member of IRCHA to volunteer?

Still working out the details on that but in the years past we have had drawings for the volunteers. basically the more shifts you worked the more chances you have to win out of the volunteer prize pool.

That entice you enough to sign up?

Sounds good to me Shannon. I do have a question though.. What is all involved with the Site 3 Marshall position? I've signed up for flightline positions already, but might do some Site 3 things as well. Do you know if/when IRCHA / AMA will release the seminar and event schedule?

There is a brief description of the duties for each of the positions included in the original post. We are still working on the seminar schedule and hope to have something soon.

Just out curiousity, do the volunteers get any kind of ticket {or tickets depending on the hours they put in} for the drawing to show their name is actually "in the can"?

I'm allways right 97% of the time..............So who cares about the other 4%??

JC, we couldnt do it without you guys..... See you then.

CJAMES,

this will be handled the same as it has been in the past. the Flight Line coordinators will be in charge of ensuring that an entry is made for every shift that is worked and will be entered into the drawing..... work more shifts get more chances.

I'd love to volunteer

...but I'm very, very far away.

Maybe in an upcoming year I can manage to plan trip to the US in sync with the IRCHA event.
