Guys come on...... Citrus is pulling your chains.

Nobody could be stupid enough to knock a beta release in an open forum, he is after attention.

If he is for real he really does need attention.

I had 3.5, sold it when I realized local vendor had duped me. Bought 4.0 elsewhere then downloaded 4.5. When I switched to Phoenix it was a much more real expierence. I was running 2.0q and loving it. My flying has greatly improved and my 9 yr old boy is now doing 3d on his 500 thanks to this sim, waaaay better than realflight (imo). I am on an older computer and after updating my nvidia drivers, it is stable. The new 2.5a beta wasn't pretty, but 2.5c is geting better, and I am happy to be a part of the beta testing as it improves. I think personally it is much better getting the updates now than waiting. I really like using my DX7 instead of the cheap realflight box.My only complaint is that it isn't that great on my Macbook pro with VMware Fusion. Wish they would consider a mac release!
Citrus, I guess there is always something to complain about, but maybe pick your battles more carefully...

Come on. Give Phoenix some credit for releasing their Beta upgrades in such a short time. Its 2.5g in how many days? They must be working around the clock.

Amazing

Already version l and still no convincing satisfaction from board members.... lets wait some more night shifts for phoenix to fix up the sim and make it feel more realistic.
Beta-testers, please give them the cordinates and settings to have good helis out of the box..... they do not seem to know much about this.

citrus i suggest you recalibrate your radio with all expo etc off as well as having linear pitch and throttle curves during calibration, there must be something wrong with your setup as i find phoenix 2.5l way better than the previous version. I practised snakes and rolling circles yesterday and my logo felt exactly the same as the sim when i flew it today.

Common sense may not be common after all

I realize this is a helicopter forum, but...the airplane physics are terrible. I have always considered RealFlight (only other sim I have owned) superior to Phoenix with regards to airplanes, but the gap seems to have widened.

Low speed flight with the planes is way off. The planes become sluggish and fly very slow at anything under 3/4 throttle. High alpha flight is virtually impossible as the airplane wants nothing more than to stall. The speed of the aircraft just seems off too. The "airspeed indicator" shows a fast airspeed, but it just feels slow, especially so around half throttle with the plane wanting to stall.

I've been tweaking with it but just cannot get them to fly well at all. The helicopter physics I have always found to be close to excellent with Phoenix and I still stand by that. The same cannot be said for the planes. This just grinds my gears...End of rant.

no prob with phoenix.i like it.Now we have some real value for money instead of the other one asking us for more money, for not really much more.if you want one specific aircraft you end up having to buy it.Thanx phoenix.maybe you should give the SIM away when we buy a new heli and charge for downloads. That would really worry the real flight.Every newbie with your sim. OOPS sounds like a well know computer company.
Anyway i like phoenix and i havent had any probs with it.
Ima happy newbie.

Install it, turn on automatic updates, let it take care of the rest.
