Is there anyone with a Hirobo Stork that would be interested in an O.S. 46 Rear exhaust? It has the muffler attached as well as the fan/clutch assembly. If there is interest I will post pictures.

demise

I purchased the Stork in 1990 or so as a package with a cricket and Futaba 5ch FM radio. The Stork was already wrecked, and even in 1990 my LHS could not find parts. The boom mount was broken & the tail case was broken. There was other damage, but that was the worst. Oh, if I had only known of this place sooner...I removed the engine assembly and pitched the rest of the helicopter. Then about 3 months later I discover RR, and the rest is history.

Hehe!
Sorry to hear!
I have a complete Stork sitting around. It does not have many hours flight time, maybe 10 hours total. Only thing missing is one of the small pitch links for the tail rotor control and I think the tail output shaft is a little bent. I have hovered it many years ago and I recall the worst thing being the DDF head with individual flapping dampers....never got it to track right. There's some pics in my gallery.
I took it into microbes and cleaned it a few months ago It will see airtime some time in the future!

For Sale

I have decided to use a different engine in my new build, so if someone here is interested let me know what it's worth. It has on it the fan assembly, motor mount, and Hirobo muffler.

I thought the stork was aa 60 sized heli. I used to have a special edition Stork.
Are u sure thats a 46 size eng. Didn't think they made a rear ex in a 46.
If it happens to be a 61 rear exhaust, i'll take it.

Stork identificatio

Special edition Stork was very different to the BBC stork and was basically along the lines of the normal pod and boom layout.
The BBC (Best BasiC) stork was a strange layout with wheeled tricicle undercarriage, octaganal tail boom, engine driven cooling fan with the 46 OS rear exhaust engine specific to the BBC stork.

Yep!
I agree with you vrhc! Thats a very exact description of my BBC Stork. Only the tri-cycle landing gear has been replaced by normal skids on mine...guess due to the fact that it is a trainer and was not very steady on tri-cycle :-)

BBC Stork

Yup so is mine. You only need to catch the tricicle gear and over it goes so it now has skids.

^Thanks for the clarification. I thought the BBC and Special edtion stork were the same size. I knew about the landing gear and some other changes, but didn't know The BBC was a 46 size. Learn something new everyday.

A saw a pic of a NIB Stork, and it said .45 to .60 for engine size. Not sure which model it was though. I found it.
