Ive always complained that these sims are nothing like the real thing, far to easy to 3d IMO.

I was just messing around in the settings on Pheonix and just for interest I removed the tick in the governor box on the trex 500, I would say its much more like the real thing with the Gov turned off, I then did the same with the 600e on Pheonix and I would say its a bit more realistic allthough not so much as the 500, its a lot harder to controll but IMO more like the real heli in the way the collective behaves, with the Gov switched off the collective is far more agressive(punchy) and much harder to 3d smoothly as is the case in real life.

Now Im wondering if useing gov on the real thing instead of flat 100 curves would make my real helis more sim like, unfortunately all my Esc`s have been Align so Ive never been able to fly with gov before.

The other thing that would be good to simulate is the elcheapo Hitec servos Im currently useing in my helis, if I can figure that out Im on a roll!

Yeah, I just had another experiment with Pheonix then.

With the governor mode turned on I can do perfect tic tocs 2 ft of the ground until I get bored, as soon as I turn the governer mode of its a completely different story, Im all over the joint just like when Im flying my real heli.

The only other thing when Im doing tic tocs with my real heli the tail will also work its way around where on the sim it stays almost rock solid.

It will be interesting if I ever get enough spare cash to put some decent quality servos in my helis if that too will make them more like the sim feels, at the moment im useing Hitec hs 85 mg`s in my Trex 500 and Hitec 5475 mg`s in my Trex 600e, I think when Im doing tic tocs especially with the 500 I feel its may be the servos rather than my skill level thats messing me up, only prob is Il need to fork out 280 aus dollars in order to find out if faster servos work much better, its a lot of money to fork out just to find out the heli flies no differently than it did with the Hitecs! Its 3 new Zippy flight packs I could of bought.
