Does anyone use JR 8717's on their 600?
I've seen them used on 8v set ups.
Will they work OK with the 5.1 range?

Otherwise, what is the favorite servo out there for the 600's?

I know this is probably an old and very repeated question but I just hate trying to find all the old posters.lol...

Thanks ahead.

I run 9252's in my 600esp and love them. My father has 8717's on his esp and 9252' on a 600cf. Personally, I can't tell much of a difference other than they drain your receiver battery quicker

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

I use 8717 on my cyclic. I like their speed, torque, and centering. They do have a high current drain, but I carry my chargers with me to the field if needed.

Brushless Motor Servos

Most use the BLS451 because they have brushless motors.

I see that some Asian brushless motor servos are coming on the market. I wonder when JR and Hitec will come out with their brushless motor servos?

I use the Hyperion Atlas HP-DS20XSMD available from All E RC. Very reliable and not that pricey = ~$55.00 each.

I ended up going with Align DS610's and a DS620 for the tail with a GP750 gyro.
I've used DS510's and 520 for a while on a 500 and like them well enough.

Thanks for the input though.

Asian brushless motor

If I'm not mistaken JR and Hitec are both Asian.

I use the Align DS610 cyclic servos. They work very well! In fact they are great.

There are only two minor thing I can notice. The holes dimension in the length are not the same as Futaba. When you screw them in your 600 (ESP) frame will notice the holes do not lign up correctly. This is unhandy when you want to use rubbers, but if you don't I have a little method to overcome this. Second, the balls are close to the servo when you need to mount the ball on the inside of your servo weheel. Other than that, they are awesome. Great performance and speed. And they are cheap.

Other than that I would recommend other Futaba servo or indeed the JR 8717.

I did go with the DS610's like I said and you are right. The balls are a bit too close to the servo but I guess as long as they don't touch,no harm no foul

As far as the holes lining up???
Mine lined up good.I am also using the rubber mounting grommits.Or am I misunderstanding you?
