Have been on the RJX website and seen the 'coming soon' link for the new gasser.
Does anybody know what size engine RJX are using and wether or not its just going to be a modified .90 or a complete new ship?

Who ever said Kiwis can't fly................

I would imagine it would be a modified 90 as the 90 Nitro is built very strong when compared to others on the market. Would make sense

it is the lighest gasser heli you can find in the market. i have seen the start of the heli. And it is really strong built .

the power to weight ratio is awasome. and will be using a modified gasoline engine. it will be similar to the x-90 . you can see a gasoline engine in a 90 size frame. and weight is low .then think what you can do with this machine and also the running cost.

you can take feul out from the car add some 2t and fly. no need the nitro hahah

Yeah I love the gassers, Had a an Xcell gas pro about 12 years ago and used to love the 45 minute flights, cheap running cost and lack of smoke when used for scale projects.

Hey Frank.... I would like to suggest an alternative engine... have you though about Wankle rotary engines??? High power, low weight and absolutly no vibration. Hell.. make a airframe that takes a rotary and you can tell BF Carbon to send me one right quick! =).

Here is a link, translated, to the manufacturer, Nitto manufacturing. They make a specialtiy heli engine in both glow and gas.

Let me tell you, it would be a way to make people stand up and take notice of RJX!

Take a look at the price of that Nitto engine, at 168,000 Yen (US$1870) I'm sure RJX will get noticed when their heli kits are triple the price of everybody else....

airframe cost would be the same. My x50 certainly didn`t come with an engine.

Take a look at some of the MOBB (Varo in NA) mechanics. Not like people in this hobby are afraid of spending money!!! Not to mention, even at that price it is less than half the price of a turbine, for what appears, on first glance to be similar preformance without the issue of the exaust pushing the bird around in the air!

For AP I can think of nothing better than a gas wankel!
