Phoenix v2.5.n update

This update is now available for download from your automatic updates list if you have version 2.5 installed.

If you do not have version 2.5 installed, please download and install it now from our downloads page.



Improvements and fixes

• Fixed issue with rotor disks on Binocular view too visible
• Knight 3D attributes tuned
• Messenger now wraps chat text on resize, text no longer covered by scrollbar
• Fixed an issue with lowest quality shadow and rotor-blades
• Ultimate Biplane tipstalls less easily
• Some incorrectly rendered canopy insides fixed
• Improved accuracy of fuel-empty timer
• Hotkeys register conflicts correctly when assigning
• Hotkeys added to increase/decrease simulation speed (defaults to NUMPAD - and +)
• Layouts now saved and reloaded when exiting program
• Multiplayer automatically pauses simulation when another uses joins/changes model
• Program Setup > Physics > "Start rotors at throttle" option renamed to "Start engine/rotors at throttle" - now functions on fixed-wing and helicopters
• Model now break in hover/torque training correctly
• Aileron on onscreen transmitter now functions over multiplayer correctly

I am having trouble downloading update 2.5k.

I get part the way through the download and the download box shows that the transfer rate freezes and the amount of MB downloaded stops increasing.Even if I leave it ages it does not continue and i have to start again.

How can I rectify this?I have tried saving target but the same thing happens.

I had this exact same problem, I just kept on trying to download it. About try number 14 it worked.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

• Added positive hovering stability functionality over 100%
• Added functionality for twin rotor models (i.e. Chinook)
• Night-lighting now functions correctly on Binocular view
• Model orientations now saved on exit when using layouts
• Schemes now support any texture files, including alternate rotor-blades, tail-blades and blurs
• Program will now run in Windowed mode for the first time after a program update to avoid possible firewall conflicts
• Russian manual added and Russian language option included
• Improved language selection screen
• Tweaked Blade CX2 and Swiss Lama Coaxial model parameters
• Aileron > Rudder mixing attribute added to Model > Edit > Mixing section
• Camera tracking functions better when manually zoomed in
• Editable attributes with long names fit better into Model > Edit lists
• Fixed an issue with some models dissapearing at extreme distances

• T-Rex 450 PRO tail-rotor now breaks correctly
• Better model centering on binoculars view
• Objects do not leap as greatly from water after a fast dive
• Models no longer break on impact in Hover Training/Torque Training (excluding props & rotors)
• Larger models now start at correct height during torque training
• Fixed some rare issues with fuel running out & resetting
• BA609 now emits smoke correctly
• Water sounds now fade correctly with distance
• All tilt-rotor blades now break correctly on impact
• Added support for folding props
• Fixed issue with deleting the currently in-use control profile
