My Posts This: Topic  Forum		SRW's Heli Fun-Fly will be held on the weekend of
July 11 & 12, 2009. 8:00AM to 6:00PM. Seaview Rotary Wings is the premier "Heli Only", RC Club in Brooklyn, NY. Our special event will again take place on our home field, Bridge View, in Calvert Vaux Park, with a panoramic view of the Verrazano Narrows Bridge.

Food and beverages will be available at the field.

RC Heli pilots of any skill level and spectators are welcome to attend. A 2009 AMA membership is required for all pilots. We hope to see you there again and bring your family & friends to enjoy our lovely event at our field.

This timing looks good so far. I'd love to be there and I'll have my AMA card, too!!!

I did my first hover that lasted long enough to drain my battery. It was was the most nerve-wracking thing.

Btw, I found screws at a hobby store on Long Island.

Do not drain your lipo packs. I forgot the correct amount to drain up to. I think on a 2100mah lipo pack, you shouild not charge more than 1600mah back into the pack. I will PM you when I get the info.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Battery packs don't go below 11.0 volts... I'm not familiar with the milliamp values.

I've not been flying on a single battery for more than 5 minutes from a full charge, in hover with my heli anyway.

Can't really get out of hover comfortably yet haha.

Flying a heli is HARD!!!

Hello folks; It's been awhile. In keeping with the momentum of Our spool up and our impending SRW Funfly on July 11th and 12th 2009; I would like to garner your support for SRW's first Electric Helicopter Festival tentatively scheduled for sometime in September. This will be a one day event in which all classes of electric helicopters will be flown; yes,even airhogs. lolol I am currently looking for your feedback, ideas, and any interests or concerns that you may have.

I don't think your allow to stay at the field over night. There are hotels a few miles alway of the field on the Belt Parkway.

It's in Sheepshead bay. I think the new's one is Best Western Brooklyn Bay, build about 2 or 3 years ago.
