If that's the case, how can you say it requires too many upgrades? If you're outflying the N9 in it's standard form please post a video.
Most high-end heli's require "building experience" rather than slap together & "she'll be right" attitude, & the result is a smoother & more reliable helicopter (providing it's built correctly of course).
Yes it can be expensive to repair, but it is also more durable. Mercedes vs Hyundai.
If you're still crashing often, it would certainly be more cost effective for you to buy a cheap (& nasty) model, but when your crashes are few & far between, you will see exactly what the extra expense buys you - Quality & durability.
