My Posts This: Topic Forum | I was so unlucky with this engine since the beginning !Maybe I should explain what happened since the very beginning : 1. Spark plug broken This is where all the problems started . The engine would start and then after 2 seconds it would die. I checked the spark plug and it seemed to be ok as there was spark igniting on the plug. This was indication for me that the spark was good so I decided to check the carb ; I opened it and cleaned it thoroughly but again nothing , I was trying to play with the needles and cleaning it and setting again and again ! Then I got mad about it and put the heli aside and I did not touch it for a month or so ! Then I decided to try my 231 s carb on it and it also did not work . After that I ordered the plug from USA ( it is not easy for me as whenever I need sth I have to order it from abroad as I cannot buy it here ) 2. Problems with the needles When the spark arrived the heli started without any problems and it ran but the factory settings of the needles were not good so I had to reduce it rapidly far away from the factory. Then one day I reduced it even more and the heli was perfect but obviously too lean and plus the stock cooling was not providing enough cooling and as the result I had the stuck piston . Than I decided to order just the piston without cylinder as the cylinder did not look to suffer a lot, but again that was mistake and I had to order piston and cylinder together. But then again the needles were far to away from the factory ones so I went to see some chainsaw mechanic to try to tune my carband you know the rest of the story , just to keep it short ! And finally I have the normal running engine now with predator gasser cooling system but with the stock clutch ! I would like to thank everyone here who tried to help me to sort out my problems ! |
