My Posts This: Topic Forum | This is my first ever crash since I started flying helis almost a year ago.
Today I was flying my avro and I got distracted because of a small aircraft flying over the flying area and my avro slammed the ground side (not the muffler side) in on my UK landing skid. The uk landing skid took a lot of beating and snapped in two.
one side of the tail case is damaged as the raised section is damaged.
Thank god, no damage to engine, muffler, frames or any electronics.
one side of the canopy post is broken and the inside of the canopy where it mounts on the post is cracked.
Just 2 days ago I purchased a used avro for parts and thats coming.
Damage-review no 1:
boom, TT, The black gear, one TT gear in case, landing skid, flybar, flybar cage bearings, feathering shaft, one set of thrust washers, tail fin is cracked, front canopy standoff-one, .....so far known damage.
MORE DAMAGE---no 2 :
both fan shroud, fan-one blade is broken--the header tank pushed the shroud in-causing damage.
