Great videos, awesome flying.

I am also interested if you prefer the pyro or scorpion motor? Is the 560KV ok or lower KV better? Also what pinion and RPM for each motor.

How is the mounting for the scorpion as the bolt spacing is different and it runs hotter?

Hi,

yes it`s a mini v-bar

i think the scorpion 4035-560 has more power than the pyro
but it run a little bit hotter

the stock 13 pinion works perfekt

Does the motor mount bolt straight up to the scorpion or did you make your own?

What are the parts of the Mini V-bar? I have looked at the pictures on the advertisement and it looks like there is only the Mini V-bar unit and no external sensor. Is that right? I guess I don't understand the ports on the unit either. I see RD, ch1, ch2, ch3, RXA, RXB, RXC. How are the inputs/outputs arranged. Any info will be helpful. I ordered a Rigid two weeks ago and should have it in March and I plan on buying the Mini V-bar.

I'm confused, did you use to run AC-3X and you're now on Mini V-Bar ? If so, any feedback on both regarding the use in Rigid would be appreciated.
PS: Excellent flying !

Hi,

@ hornet

The first video is with pyro 30-12.
The second video is with scorpion 4035-560.

@ helicraze

Motor mount and bolts are fitting.
But the pinion needs to drilled out to get the pinion as near as possible to the motor.

@ uh-60pilot

Mini-VBar is only one unit.
RD is rudder, CH1/2/3 are swashplate servos, RX A/B/C are input from receiver.

@ zmooth

No noteworthy difference.

Regards
Timo

Hi TimoW, I think you and Robert Sixt have awesome flying skills, probably 2 of my favorite pilots.

How long have you been flying?

Great stuff.

If I go to Frankfurt in the next year or so I must try to visit a club while i'm there.

TimoW is it safe to say that the mini v-bar is good for any large helis like 50's and 90's?.Is there any big difference from them two v-bars?.

Thanks.

Hi, i see you use the radix 690's opposed to the 710's recommended, is the 690's better for 3d, also is that the SB's or standard.
Are you really turning only 1850 on the head, that thing looks like a supercharged e-stratus but i run 2000, perhaps cause it's lighter?
Anyway fantastic flying, really enjoyed the videos, more my type than the smackdown headrushes popular nowadays. Mine's on the way, only wish i could get the autopilot module you have in yours!

Common sense may not be common after all

I heard that he has been flying for over 12 years and now is flying 710MM radix. RPM on the forums was said 1830 and 14.5deg pitch.

Tim is fantastic pilot.
