Sorry I left early, if my auto hub wasn't locked up I would have stayed longer. I was looking over this bird I picked up and I noticed A couple of thing that could explain what you were telling me about the tail on it Ali, the fan for one is so out of balance, the regulator is installed in the wrong line for the gy601, and the two sided tape used to mount the gyro sensor to the model has no kind of absorbtion for vibration at all and with this motor I don't think it could ever run right that way, anyway it was just a look at it before I put it up on my shelf to get it out of the way until I get around to tear it down and correct it with some of the mods needed on it. hope to see everyone next week!

Hi Guy's!

I don't know how many of you are aware that there was an accident at the XFC this year involving Benny Chi, JC a competing pilot was on deck flying when he lost his tail on his T-rex 700 and hit the ground at full throttle, the main blade weight shot out and hit Benny Chi in the face or head, How severe the injures are is unknown to me at this time. Another reminder that rc heli's are not toy's!

P.S. there is a video on you tube of the crash.

Hi Guys
I hope that everyone is ok and had a great Fathers Day, I haven't had much time to play and as it stands Right now I won't be going out to play this Sunday either as I've been asked to work ( it's double time for me and I can use the $ ) I started to tear down this bird and figured I'd share these photo's of what I found needing imediate attention,

Clutch bad do to liner [PHOTO]/fastphoto/19858/CLUTCH_BELL_LINER.jpg Clutch liner burnt out almost to the metal[/PHOTO][PHOTO]/fastphoto/19858/CLUTCH_LINER_NOT_EVEN_GLUED_PROPERLY.jpg Liner wasn't even glued in properly [/PHOTO] well the fan is just out of balance and to have a out of balance fan on a motor that has a balance issue with it's crank shaft just doesn't work, and I don't know if you can notice that the fan is also cracking at the hub.
clutch liner is deteriated and brittle it's amazing it held out but definetly explains motor overspeeding as the clutch was slipping in flight.
I didn't take pictures of the mixing base w/control levers but I had to replace it too! much to much play! anyway I hope that this wasn't a drag for you guys but more as an informative tool and how we should pay more attention to what our machines are telling us!: all of the above contributed to some symptom that was over looked.
Ok I know thats enough of that!
