I sheared my Jesus bolt midglight today. Bummer. Anyone else have this happen? Damage not too bad head departed heli about 5 feet from grou d after flip. Damage---main/feathering shaft missing seesaw missing links stressed stock mainblades (didn't like them anyway.

Did you overtighten the bolt? If you did, then its a good chance that that's the reason

It's happened to me three times now. Not sure why. I've been setting my BEAM up same way as I used to set my trex up.

There is no royal road to flying helis but the sim sure helps!

Hi..
I have had this happen in the past...
i believe this is due to the bolt not being shanked.. i have noticed that after crash the bolts become bent.. If you dont replace the bolt they will break in flight....

The only thing that throws me for a loop is the fact that it sheared. It didn't fail in pure tension. The head of the bolt was literally still in the hub when i picked up the pieces. Its seems like even if the nut would have stripped and come off all together it would have still flown. basicallly my shaft twisted hard enough in the head to shear the bolt clean in two places. thats why i started wandering if the bolts was too weak. I'm going with a aftermarket high strength bolt this time...
