I don't remember from last year, as I wasn't really flying anything powered by a battery...times have changed. Is there any on-site capability to run LiPo battery chargers? (Besides bringing along a generator or deep-cycle marine battery and charger...)

Will there be any concessions there? Snacks, pop, etc?

They have on site power in an outbuilding to attach chargers. There will be a lunch wagon available for most meals.

There will be lots of charging options. The club has some charging capability. Bill Burke will probably be willing as last year to let others charge off of his solar panel RV which has lots of electrical oomph. Many are bringing generators.

As far as the 'lunch wagon':

Friday

Lunch: Brats, Hot Dogs, Chips
Dinner: Boneless Pork Chops or Roast Beef, Scalloped Potatoes, Coleslaw, Dinner Roll

Saturday

Breakfast: Ham & Cheese on English Muffin, Sweet Rolls, Coffee
Lunch: Sloppy Joe, Baked Beans, Chips
Dinner: Boneless Country Style Ribs, Sweet Corn, Potato Salad, Dinner Roll

Sunday
Breakfast: Ham & Cheese on English Muffin, Sweet Rolls, Coffee
Lunch: Brats, Hot Dogs, Chips

Guys, the weather for the RRO is looking just great.

Especially Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday the prediction is sunny, 73 degrees and winds less than 8mph. See the attached graphic. Even Friday afternoon looks like the sun will peak out and winds start to diminish.

See you all there!

By the way we are having FlyRC.TV cover the event. They will be there Saturday.

If there ever was a perfect day to fly helis, today, Saturday at the ORRO had to be it. No winds, cool, no humidity, crystal clear blue skies. And pretty much no line, no waiting at the flight stations. I can't remember a day this great for flying.

Number 9 was great. Already looking forward to Number 10. Thanks to MRCHA for holding the event, thanks to the RC Flyers who gave up their field for a three-day heli only event, and thanks to the sponsors for supporting the ORRO.

Thanks to the individuals who worked the registrations, raffle, contests, and did all the leg work to make this event happen.

To the 2009 ORRO sponsors and event coordinators...

Thanks again for the chance to win the Trex 700 -- it had it's maiden flight yesterday, Sept 12, 2009. Flies great...

Here's a shot of it for the record..
