The 2009 Rotary Ring Out will take place in Owatonna, Minnesota. Event dates are August 21-23rd.

Pre-register and you will get a FREE Ring Out Event T-shirt! (only with pre-registration).

Pre-registration is on the MRCHA website: www.mrcha.org and the pilot fee is $25 (additional $5 discount for MRCHA members).

Please note the field location is the Owatonna RC Modelers club, the same place as last year, directions at: www.owatonna-rc-modelers.com

Just like last year, you can expect to enjoy great flying, an awesome raffle, great food (including the Saturday night BBQ), on-site camping, night flying, a bonfire and great friends.

Due to popular demand, we will have Todd Bennett's 3D flying class again this year. This takes place a couple days before the event at the flying field, contact: Eric Heiserman at eric.heiserman@tradingtechnologies.com for details.

Make plans now to come and fly at this classic helicopter event, now in its ninth year!

Can't wait for the ring out to get here, a great fun fly with a great bunch of people. So is the Todd Bennett school filled up yet? Ive been to his class several times and well worth the money. see ya all next month.

Reminder!!!!!! All those interested in going to the Rotary Ring Out this year, sign up online at www.mrcha.org in the next couple weeks. With online registration you get a free RRO T-shirt which is better than ever this year. Due to popular demand we have an off-white fabric that sets it apart from the standard pure white. Along with the multicolor graphics it looks great. When you register you will have teh opportunity to pick your T-shirt size.

We are closing pre-registration down a few weeks before the event because we need time to order and receive the T-shirts. Pre-reg lets us know how many to get.

If you miss the pre-registration you can still go but you will have to purchase the T-shirt, and that is *IF* we have more in your size.

I agree with Eric, the Todd Bennett school was awesome and well worth the money in reducing my crash costs. I took it 2 years ago and learned some critical 3D techniques. Surely there are 2 more pilots that want to jump start thier skills.

Alert for Ring Out participants! To get the Ring Out T-shirts order in on time we will need to have all pre-registrations completed by this Wednesday the 12th of August. Note that we will be taking pre-registrations after this time but the pilot fee will not include a RRO T-shirt.

We have had excellent pre-registration activity, significantly ahead of last year so we should have a good turn out.

Attention Ring Out enthusiasts,

There have been some questions about camping on-site, especially considering the Olmstead and Steele county fairs taking up accomodations in the area.

Note: We have camping and motorhome space onsite. There is no extra charge like last year. So there should be no problems.

Pre-Registration is at 45 pilots, which is ahead of last year. So we will have good turn out, but not so much as to overwhelm the on-site camping area.

Pre-Registration Deadline:

We have decided to extend the Pre-Registration deadline until 9pm Monday. After that point in time you will be able to pre-register but the T-shirt ordering will be removed. This is because we ordered enough extra T-shirts to cover some last minute registrations. We also expect that there will be many who would like to purchase extra T-shirts onsite due to the great design by Jeff Northrup.

Note these T-shirts are 3-color front, 5-color back, Sport Grey pocket tee (check out the design at the URL below)
