Exactly! I think the bottom part is too wide (fat). If it was a little bit more narrow it would look a lot better.
Despite of the canopy the heli is really nice and there are some really good thought out details. I like it.

As pointed out before when the N9 came out it took some time for me to like the canopy, but now I think it's the best one out there. So the N5 canopy will take some time for me. Maybe a week or two.

I really like the overall design, I think Matt did a great job.

Sure there are going to be things people don't like and upgrades will be made. As for out of the box stock I think it will kick the Trex's butt.

Can't wait to see one in person. I think the N5 will be a great second bird to my N9. Something I can hammer on and practice new stuff.

Just my 2 cents!

You need to see it in person.

These pictures SUCK! I first saw the canopy on my iPhone and that made the canopy look much worse. Yesterday, I got home (from work) and saw the pics on my widescreen; it looked better. Today, I saw the canopy with my own eyes....

You need to reserve judgement. When you see it (if you're a Synergy fan), you will love this canopy. In person, the canopy does not look as "chubby" as some have described it. The canopy's horizontal center-line is closely matched to the boom, so that the heli (and canopy) will roll about the boom's axis. The white area that the pics have looking like a pelican's throat is NOT that big. I had my reservations at first from the pics, bu you need to see it in person.

The paint looks quick (I'm not gonna mention what he caught in the clear-coat), but good. The heli looks great in the air - and damn it flies NICE.

I assume a certain site administrator will be at XFC in two weeks and then you'll see some good flyin' videos.

ps: The "wings" are black because he tried a black fade that didn't quite work out, so... but I'm not trying to throw the artist under the bus.

I love the look of the N9 canopy. It will take a little bit for the N5 canopy to grow on me.

You are right in the fact I have not seen it in person. Waiting for the day.

I don't think that's Synergys strategy. They aren't targeting the same mass market that the Trex is. There focus is on the high end; just like there N9. And because of this, it will be priced higher and they won't sell as many.

Looking really good. Anyone know what this machine is gonna weigh? I know Matt made mention a while back about 620's and the new larger displacement engines soon to hit the market. A little extra weight isn't always bad thing, certainly the N9 isn't the lightest in class. Just wondering...
