My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Does anyone know a Frank Donnelson from Zanesville Ohio?
In March I paid $300 to ship him $2100 in trucks, rock crawlers, a trailer I built from scratch and some tools and spare parts. He claims he never got the two boxes. UPS did an investigation and decided that the boxes were delivered. So they won't pay my insurance claim. They did call his house and his wife said that he did get the boxes.
I am giving him until the night of 28 May to send me a notarized letter stating he never got them.
He stays in touch well, but refuses to send me the rtf Trex 500 or the arf 500 that he promised.
So if anyone happens to see Frank, or the scale '08 Chevy, the tuber crawler, or the trailer in my gallery, please let me know.
Also, this was an RC Universe deal. I've never seen him on RR.
Damn nice way to treat an AD military member on Memorial Day, eh?

I filed a complaint with RCU. Their official answer was that the member had already been suspended, so my claim will go into the archives.
So, I'm screwed out of my trucks, my money, and the two helis that are owed to me.
All this after his wife admitted that he received the packages. Call it a warning or slander, but Frank Donelson of Zanesville Ohio is a CROOK!

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		have a lawyer send him a threat of legal action. I assume the agreement is documented somewhere, you have UPS saying package delivered and his wife confirming it... If he doesn't cough up his half of the deal, take him to court.

That's exactly what I intend to do. I do have the proper documentation. Luckily we have two lawyers in the family! It would still be more gratifying to use some of my frequent flyer miles and knock on his door. But, I won't do that.

I tell you what, I've made a few deals on RCU. But, this is the last one. I sold a few things to some grateful people. Then, there's this guy and some jerk in Oregon who wrecked a heli an hour after taking it out of the packaging, and gives me poor feedback!? It's face to face deals from here on in.

Well, after a lot of back and forth with UPS and Frank Donelson, UPS got his wife to sign a form which states that Frank did indeed get the two boxes of trucks. Frank still says he never got them. I gave him until 17 July to make it right. 18 July my lawyer gets involved.
So, even though it's trucks not helis, and it was a deal on RCU, don't do any business with Frank Donelson. He is a crook and a lier and karma will decide how to punish him.

The first thing I can say is to trust your gut. My instincts were that this guy was way too eager to make a deal. I thought it felt wrong and I turned out to be right.
The second thing is, don't make a trade deal. Buy everything through Paypal. That way you have an avenue of recourse. With a trade deal, you have no rights. Even though I used the "official offer" on RCU, they have been zero help other than to suspend the guy. That saves the next guy, but doesn't do $h!t for me.
Of course this is for geographically seperated deals.

So, my lawyer said the first step is to file a police report. But, I can't file it in Zaneville Ohio, because they say it's not their jurisdiction. I can't file with the Honolulu PD because they say...it's not their jurisdiction...???!!!!
So I filed with the Internet crimes division of the Gov. Then, since I had her address, I wrote a letter to his mother.
We'll see what happens.

Still waiting for the complaint that I filed with the Gov to go through. I did post a picture of the stolen items in his hometown craigs list. One guy responded and said that Frank had ripped him off too.
