Hey All,

I have just purchased a second hand Arvo airframe which i am going to basically pull apart and reassemble and re locktite it all..
Just wondering if there is any known problems / upgrades i need to check from early kits or items that just ware and need replacing..
May as well do it all now while its in pieces.
I am not to sure how old it is but hasn't been crashed..
Going to fit a new YS91SR and Hatori pipe so engine wise will all be ok.

Any way any suggestions would be great.

Very robust heli's generally and not had any issues with wear, and mine was in the first 10 produced

Check the engine mount, as they can crack on the early machines

Blitz are working on an upgraded mount, but some folks have cut the mount so it's a 2 piece unit. I've done this on mine now

Just basically check everything while it's apart and replace any parts your not happy with, but can't think of anything specific.

Neal sent me a new secondary pulley because mind had some undue ware and I think he said he had changed something about the material used to make it, can't remember exactly now what the deal was.

Depending on the motor your going to use, Blitz has different gear ratios you can get. Don't take the one way apart, ask me how I know.

There was a problem with some secondary pulleys.

It was due to the manufacturing process. They found (eventually) that the moulding machine wasn't getting up to temperature before making the pulleys, and this was causing the pitch on the teeth to alter slighlty. This resulted in the belt jumping, but again there where only a few machines affected.

Once they found the problem it was corrected and free replacement pulleys sent out to those who needed it
