I took off to see if the tail was holding.. We just put metal Tailblade grips,and tail lever and the KDE metal links on it.
I think most of the tail wagging at SRC was all the slop and wear in the tail when you were flying it. Then after the stray dog tried to catch it i gave the radio to Jerrott. He pushed it around for a few min pretty hard. Seems to hold now, might need to lower the gain a touch..

I think somewhere around 11.5 to 12Lbs.. I need to get to the post office and weigh it on the postal scales.

You can buy really good accurate digital scales on ebay for 30 or 40 dollars. Would save you all those trips to the PO!

I've weighed it before.. And yep it's heavy but it don't fly heavy...
I might break down and buy a set but i'm not too concerned with it's weight. 1st off the G10 frames are heavier than the carbon frames. And i've added a G10 battery tray that runs from the rear of the frames to the front so there is more weight there.. and the Powerjazz is a pretty good "chunk" of material. Then the 14s 3850's are pretty heavy too.. But the wind don't blow it all over the sky, and the flybarless gives it extra, extra snap.... but i'll get it weighed by the weekend...

I used a after market set of G10 frames. They use a flange bearing for the pivot shaft.. Eaiser to relocate it.. You noticed the motor mounts up on top.. And i didn't want to butcher a stock set of frames... Also i'm stubbourn and have to do things my way...
but yeah i'm always experimenting with something...

Me too. My latest exper. is a light weight 700E (working on getting it under 11 lbs. with 5000 12S)that I'm trying to get to 6.5-7mins flying pretty hard 3D. Running 2000 HS +-12 pitch with Radix 710 & FBL, jeti spin 99, different brands of batts. Getting 6 mins fairly frequently now. If I push really hard it drops some, but there's still more that can be done to the heli...
