Got in a couple easy flights today.. It rolls like it's on a wire, even with my sloppy collective managment. Now to get some frames cut.

Great looking heli Chuck! as usual, you have built another outstanding conversion. For those who havnt seen Chucks heli's fly, you need to watch his videos, very impressive. Very hard to film something that fast.

Hey Chuck,

Any problems with that single sided servo arm on the elevator trying to twist or move that servo?

I've only put a hand full of flights on it so far. But no signs of trouble with it. I never had any problems with my stratus' elevator servo in this arrangement. The thing tracks very true.

I thought i had the swash level but after putting the leveling tool on it, I see how far i was off.. I'm a believer in them now.. It tracked straight in loops and rolls like nobody's business..

The next version will do away with the bell cranks ect and have the servos linked directly to the swashplate. As well as place two 6s packs "side by side" under the mainshaft/ motor. should balance spot on and be able to change packs without removing the canopy.

Now i need to get a set of 14s packs

That looks good Tony..

Put 3 flights on it today.. so far so good.. The X Era is pulling like a champ. Guy at the feild threatened to drag race me...
Waited till i had been flying around 4 min or so. And he only had 1/2 tank of fuel on his... Well i turned around when i saw i was 20feet in front of him. And the tree line was coming up fast! So i guess he won the race. but i beat him off the line.. I'm still climbing too high on take off... Got to work on keeping the nose down close to the ground.

Fueled by hate... Oh and Dilithium...
Swapped out the Scorpion for a X era 4030 2.5y with a 15T pinion. Need a slower motor with 14s and bigger pinion.. That ought to help the gear stripping you hear at the end...

I'll get some pics tomorrow when it's daylite out... phone camera sucks in doors...
