Correct me if I'm wrong but the thread of the 2.5 and 2.6 are the same only the size of the head is different?

The threads are different in size...

I tried to contact Harold for some 30mm spacers a few months back but he didnt have any in stock at the time.

If Harold does`nt have the 30mm spacers in stock try Irwin/Jon at Quick World Wide. They have alot of the parts you need for Quick of Japan helis. They have the 30mm spacers, 0.8M pinions, booms, belts , alot of stuff for our helis. They have great service also. I just purchades a Bat 26cc gasser from them and it is realy a nice heli.

stock woodies at a higher than recommended HS

I am keeping the head speed below 2500RPM`s until I get some carbonfiber blades... I have seen the woodies explode over 2500RPM`s..

The third spacer...

No worries Twin about the spacers....I'm happy you still had the two you sent....they are the critical ones for sure...the 3rd one is to calm my anxiety... Thanks for the info Jimbo about other sources for QJ spacers and other parts ! I always go Harold 1st..but good to have a second source....for parts like the spacers.
I should have most of it put together today and will fly it this weekend...YIPEE !!! I will post some more pictures as things progress...
Just in case anybody is still wondering...
The TwinRing frames are...'SUPER' !

Jimbo...Thanks for the link to how you use the 30mm spacers.
I can see why you would use the ones between the landing gear attachments. The Compass gear seem to make it pretty stiff though ... the one below the motor mount didn't even cross my mind...

I didn't get anymore done on my heli today...had to go look for a car...my 1996 Ford Explorer is about ready to take a long walk
out into the snow...

I hope to get the build pretty much finished tomorrow...maybe even a little trim it out test flight or two...

Well ... the build has progressed alittle but ... I got stopped in may tracks. I had to replace my tail slider and the holes drilled into the screw type things that hold the ball links that connect to the tail grips are too small for the pins that secure them to the slider. I guess I will try and use a small burring tool to widen the holes....

More pictures to follow...

Hey Jimbo....

Thanks for the offer...but I got the parts fixed..I got out my dremel and used a tiny burring attachment to widen the holes so the attachment pins fit. I'm all finished with the airframe now just have to mount and setup the electronics....I will post a few pictures later on today...

Thanks again Jimbo for the offer...

finally got my motor for my QJ.
I have lots of little things to do through the week to finish it off.
But it will be flying by the weekend.

On another note.
My original SP that I gave to my friend......we took it out on Sunday, after maybe his 4th proper real world flight of just ciruits and mild stall turns, up he goes and does some flips and inverted hovering.
Man was he happy, and I was beaming too.
He is a demon on the Sim, can do pretty well every trick out there, and with style too.
Money has always been an obstacle for him, so its taken a long time to get him flying for real.
Hence the reason he is doing flips and inverted hovers in such a short space of "Real" flight time.
We both agree that the QJ is the best vehicle for his flying right now.
Very cool

If you bling it, they will come :D

trailing edge tail grips.

The mixing arms are correct. Most of the manuals show the mixing arms mounted IN-correct.

Jimbo is Correct !

As far as I know the head is setup correct and the tail grips are not....I didn't notice this before I took the three pictures above...

Sorry Jimbo .... there is no prize for the correct answer at this time....
