YUP ,they are very nice frames. twinring realy did a good job on the design of them. I guess he has been designing them in his mind for a few years now. I can tell there is a few years of thought that went in to these frames. Good job twinring...
TYREE, please keep us posted on your progress. Thanks!

Thanks Guys, yes, I went through many versions of what you now have. I should upload all the stupid ideas that lead to this.

Now if only we can work on the name of these frames...

. I should upload all the(not so) stupid ideas that lead to this.

Go ahead and show us twinring. I would love to see them.
I already named my frames, The "twinring frame EP8".
I am very Proud of my "twinring" frame EP8.
I have flown it a couple of times so far. I have been able to trade some stuff for the electronics I needed to get it going. Now all I need are some "Rotortech" 430mm blades so I can realy fly it good.
I have tried almost every carbon blade for the EP8 except the "Rotortech" 430mm blades ... All I have for it now are the stock woodies.
Here are some pics of my "twinring frame EP8". This is with 2 x 3s1p 3300mah 25C lipo`s under the "Fury" canopy...
AWSOME job twinring!!!

Hi Jimbo, maybe you should call it EP8 TREX or will that cause confusion.....mine will be called EP8 EXTR (EXTRA).

A big thanks to Twinring for the design and production and to BRW0513 for the supply of a set. I don't think it will make my poor flying any better but you never know.
This is what make this hobby so great, you get to meet good people from all over the world, pity that we don't get to meet all of them. The world is a richer place for this I'm sure.

Anyone flying with the AR6100 or AR6100e on these machines, or does it need a better RX AR7000/9000

I flew the AR6100 on an EP8 one time and I had my only lock-out, or "brown-out". I lost all control when the heli was coming towards me at around 50` feet and plowed into the ground.
I fly the AR7000 and the AR6200 full range R/X`s. The AR6100 is a park-flyer R/X, not a full range R/X...
I have not had any problems with the AR7000 and the AR6200 full range R/X`s.

Yup , I have the Trex500 landing gear and tail fin on it and Trex600 boom supports....
I like the way the Trex500 landing gear looks and performs...

Thanks Jimbo, I was not happy going the 6100 but thought I would ask. I will purchase a 6200 or 7000 and stay safe.

Hey Jimbo.....

Funny you should ask...today I saw the receipt for this ep-8 sp
for the first time since I purchased it from Harold...back in Feb. 2006....so no ... it's not new.....but those pretty black CF frames
are !! The tear down wasn't too bad...but I really need to replace all
those philip head screws ...with some hex cap screws....

Jimbo...are the frame screws 2.6mm by 8mm? also, I can't remember
where you bought yours when you did the replacement...

More bad pictures to come..

Yes, they are 2.6mm by 8mm but it is hard to find 2.6mm screws. I just use 2.5mm....

on the tail ht-5245mg

All systems running @6v

Jimbo, great pics, looking good. Finally got it in the air? Im glad to hear that. I have a Trex 500 canopy that ive chopped down, just need to paint the windshield on it, but it looks like its going to be a great fit. Im also flying a set of the stock woodies at a higher than recommended HS, have been doing so since I crashed this thing the last time.

Ty,
youre off to a good start, keep us posted with the build. I tried to contact Harold for some 30mm spacers a few months back but he didnt have any in stock at the time. The ones that I sent off to you were the last two that I had.
