They go a lot faster then that, more like 70-80 kilometers an hour depending on gearing. That is stupidity at its finest. The kid and the Father is lucky nothing serious happened or he would have been in deap you know what with the police.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

Its nice to see that the Father was SOOO concerned that he did not even sit the Tx down to check on his child. That is some good parenting there.

Yeh, he calmly walks over and picks him up with one hand. What a poor excuse for a parent.

And it sounds like he was laughing. Hit the kid in the face, very easily could have lost an eye.

some people are just idiots when it comes to this hobby. these models are not toys and will hurt or even kill if treated and respected in a foul maner. We ( the sensible ones ) realise that they are not toys and require as much care and attention as possible. They need proper looking after and good maintenance as possible. Of course from time to time accidents are going to happen but that cant be helped but we should always know where all viewers are ( as the drivers or flyers responsibility) and they should stand behind the person. also good model ship is to never drive or fly round you always keep it in front dont let the model control you , you control the model!

one of my other pet pieves is people when you are flying just walking right under your model wen you are flying which brings some flyers out into a sweat as this could cause fatalities, but this just shows pure ignorance.

thats my point!

I've been hit by a 26cc gas car. There was a bloke driving this car at the far end of large field while me and a couple of mates were flying our helis at the other end. The field is several acres is size so limited space was not an issue.

We would take turns, he would drive, when he was finished we would fly. Anyhow, I was putting a lipo in my Logo 600, next thing I see is this bloody 10 kilo car racing straight at the Logo doing 60-70 kmh.
I could see the bloke had no control of the car so to save the heli I put my arm out to deflect the car, I didn't have time to pick the heli up. My left arm took the full brunt of the hit and the car bounced off and clipped the tail of my heli. Luckily no damage was done to the Logo but my left wrist was not real good.

I flew a couple more packs but had to pack it in because my wrist was too sore to continue flying.

We had an understanding this bloke and me, I would never fly down his end of the field and he would never drive up our end. However when you have a brown out I suppose it doesn't really matter where you are.

I raced 1/8 scale onroad gas cars in the 80's. Right before the two speeds and 4wd came out. Cars were good for about 60. Saw a corner worker get nailed at a race. His ankle was shatered. I heard later that the incident cost him about 30k after insurance. No fun for sure.
If I ever nailed one of my kids with something RC, my wife would kill me without a doubt.

the kid will probably grow up just like the parents, no sense of responsibility. The child continued to watch them race more after he was hit ? He should have been taken to the hospital to be checked for that blow to the face and head. To he!! with the toy cars, the child should be priority.

I accidently hit a lady friend of mine that was walking thru the yard with a tmax 4x4 truck a few years ago.

It took her feet out from under her, and cut her ankle, brused it pretty good.

At the time she did not know to be walking that close, and I was just learning how to drive.

Sorry I hit her, and I learned then trucks,/cars, nitro or electric, and planes and heli's are dangerous to most anything on 2, or 4 legs.

Far too many RC Card drivers are honest to goodness stupid. I own an E-Revo Brushless, and spend some time on rctech.com, and compared to RC aviators, they are just overall unintelligent. Here is my favorite list of quotes from that site:

"What is Expo" (Said by a user with 2000+ posts and "10 years in the hobby"

"dat rec cm wid da prob?" I think this means "Does that receiver come with the [temperate] probe"

"Why don't you just charge your lipo by hooking it up to your car battery instead of wasting your money on some fancy commie charger?" I honestly don't know where to begin on this one, but it was said in all seriousness

"I hover like a Pro"

I would have told him " No problem, to try if he wants to" then I would have stood way back and video taped it

Nothing cures stupid like experiance.

I'm allways right 97% of the time..............So who cares about the other 4%??
