My Posts This: Topic Forum | Sunday is a washout, the forecast is for rain all day and I don't expect to see any dry weather today. Hey some might say its stupid to fly at night with 4 untrained guys shining spotlights on a heli, that changes direction really fast, (Andrew), but I would say its more stupid to fly in the rain.
We did have a GREAT Saturday.
Thanks everyone who were able to attend. The day turned out perfect. The weather was a 10 if you don't mind a slight morning chill, We had about 23 registered pilots and I guess about 26 pilots who flew Saturday. The amount of prizes, (chime in here Jim T. if you have that count,) was about 40 or better. Some highlights of the prizes.....
The Heli went third to my surprise, the 7000 Spectrum receiver went after, there were 7 sets of blades, many 710s, 8 or more gallons of fuel and 12 gift certificates from Bills hobby Barn http://www.billshobbybarn.com )and New England Heli http://www.newenglandheli.com ) among all the prizes
A special thanks to one of the 495th members Henry Hyatt for the personal donation to the club of the Raptor50/3D. Very generous, much appreciated and one really happy winner.
My count on the dirt tally is 3 (yea Bob lets keep pushing that envelope (The tail boom cut off in mid stunt is a tough act to follow) plus another 2 or three less spectacular episodes. so 5 if you don't count the Trex 450 that lost battery inverted, (minor damage, I hate when that happens)
There is a picture with all the winners somewhere so I should be able to get the total count of prize winners.
To the 495th club members who helped out with this event, I can't say thanks enough for the help you all provided. Clearly the dedication of the members is what makes our fun fly's so successful.
