Any Vendors

Any vendors going to be at the fun fly? It would be nice to get more nitro fuel.

One LHS is no longer in business but will have remaining inventory for sale. KBDD will also be there. We can probably make a fuel run for you if you let us know what you need. I think we have a few cases of Wildcat and Byron in the raffle as well. We may have other vendors I just haven't heard anything confirmed.

True. I'm sure everyone is good people! I really want to come, just have to weigh the home/personal issues to determine if I am. If I show up, it will be 8-9am Sat. If not, have fun everyone.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. Calm wind becoming north around 6 mph.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 56. East wind between 5 and 7 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 80. East wind between 3 and 7 mph.

I'm stuck at work until 5:00 but we already have the field setup and there are people there flying now.

Yep, the field is ready to go. Looks like it's going to be an off the hook event.

Already 5 or 6 travel trails and RV's in. I guess there were 20 pilots there today, counting some of the locals. It's not even the first official day.

Bob "Finless" White was the first "out of Towner" to show up.

We all had a great day getting things ready and doing A LOT of flying. I managed to get in 16 flights toady and burn through almost 2 gallons of Wildcat.

It REALLY sucks that I can't be there tomorrow. I hope everyone has a GREAT day and enjoys the event!!! Good luck and safe travels to all.

Don't come off the throttle untill you see your GOD!

yep, was great! I decided to make it down there and had a blast. Nice meeting everyone. Great seeing Finless... also Bert is off the hook more than ever.

Finless was talked into flying in the spot light at night as he was very reluctant... then found out how great it was and loved it! I did it with the 450Pro for my first time ever night flying. Fun times!

If anyone reads this who didn't go and never has, try to make it next year. It is a great medium size event and will probably keep growing. Thank you hosts and everyone who put in the hard work to make it happen.

Thanks everyone for making this a great event. Special thanks to Jason Rumer who really put a lot of effort and enthusiasm into the event. He and his family did much of the heavy lifting and preparations.

Jim Starks won the auto contest with a little Rave 450 which he hit dead center on the first attempt. I think his total score was 6.25. How did you guys with the 90 size helis let this happen?

Jeff Wright won the Sunday raffle of the Compass Knight 3D.

Del Hector won the Quick UK jacket that RCHeliWorks donated to the Sunday raffle prize. We will mail that to him.

My hat is off to Bill and all the LMAC members that put this funfly on. I was there on Saturday and was good to see all of the people. It's great that people like Finless Bob, Jim (J-Rock)Stark, Bert Kammerer, and Mark(SkyKing)Fadely was there to help and answer any questions the heli guys had. It was great talking with you all.

I don't know how Mark Fadely does all that he does but a big thank you for the articles you write for MA, showing up with all that PA equipment and your heli's and just being your wonderful self. (You da Man , You live on MAKING-IT-HOT.

The folks of LMAC were great hosts who demonstrated what southern hospitality is all about. The grounds were full of friendly people who jumped in to help solve a problem, answer a question, and help promote the hobby by being as helpful and friendly as possible. They even had an ice cream truck come in for awhile Saturday. The good people of the LMAC Club also had chairs set out so people would have a place to sit in or out of the sun to their preference. They fixed tons of food with a large variety to suit all tastes. Jason, Mary, Mark and the all of the LMAC members put together a really great Fun Fly. These people realize it is the little things which make a great event.

It was nice seeing old friends like Will, Finless Bob, Burt and Pat. Al from Big Al’s Hobbies was there to provide parts needed and Chris from RC Heliworks was there to meet people and make a large donation for the raffles. It was also great to be reacquainted with Compass Model Team Pilot David, who showed off his flying skills. David is a really nice guy who is an asset to their team.

Will and Bob always add to the fun wherever they go. They again showed they are all about helping people and promoting the Hobby. Burt Kammerer again showed he is a great pilot who seems to get better every time I see him. Most importantly he is just a super nice guy, always willing to help anybody out. The available knowledge, help and flying was just outstanding. These guys are an amazing asset to the RC helicopter community. It is a privilege to know them.
The noon demo by Burt was some of the best flying I have ever seen and Bill’s scale Huey was really cool to watch fly.

The KBDD Team and owners were honored by the warm welcome from the LMAC Club members and the attendees.

Bottom line is the LMAC Fun Fly was a blast! These people represent the RC community very well and we left knowing we can’t wait for the 2010 edition. Everyone had a great time there and they have already started planning for next year. If you miss it next year just know you will be missing a major fun event! After all if it isn’t fun, why do it! This was fun!

I had a great time as always, this is my favorite event of the year.

Bill and Jason were the best hosts.

The Helifreak guys were there,as well as the regular superstars. My personal favorite being Mark Fadley, a great flier and all around good person.

Blake McBrayer was able to show up for just a few minutes, I missed having him there.

I can't wait untill next year.
