On site RV camping is available. no hook ups. We would like to know if you are camping because one person on site will need a copy of the gate key.

There are several hotels in the area. These are the two I know to have had positive feedback:

The Sleep Inn is in Hamburg Pavilion. A new and large shopping area in Lexington and is surrounded by restaurants and shops. There is also has a large movie theater nearby. You can have pets for an extra fee. Probably the best hotel if you want to bring your family. The Hamburg Pavilion does have some of the worst traffic planning I've seen.

There is also a Holiday Inn Express and several other hotels on Elkhorn Rd. It is at the closest exit to I64. I would recommend the Holiday Inn Express of the hotels on that exit. There are not many restaurants at that exit.

Thanks, it should be great this year. Mark Fadely is doing a 3D school with buddy boxing and Finless Bob is offering to do setup seminars and will also help with the buddy boxes. The event will really cater to novice pilots and be a great show as well. I don't have the details of the school. Mark Fadely is in command of that. I think it involves learning how to scuff the blades on the runway with his helicopters. I'll need to double check that.

Rockohaulic might want to sign up for that class.

I thought I wanted a career, turns out I just wanted the paychecks.

Gate times

Want to bring my camper up for the weekend. When will the gate be open to get in? Thinking about coming up Friday early or late Thursday night. Will I be able to get in?
Really looking forward to meeting Bob Finless and the others. Sounds like it will be a really great event this year(as always).
See you there!!!
Mike

Sorry for the late reply. I didn't see the notices that this topic had replies. We will most likely be there until dark on Friday. Let us know what time you will be there and we can be sure to have someone there.

Btw, our field now has electricity. At least until the club burns down the main building. But there are several outlets in the main pavilion and we expect to have it out near the RV parking soon but no guarantees.

Well it looks like I have alot of options for fun flys and new flying fields here in the Cincinnati Tri-State areas. I am also impressed with the option to bring my Camper, helicopters, beer, and family.

If I can get settled in with my new residense, and get off of work, I will be there as well.

See you then...

My helicopter would not be setup as nice as it is without finless. It'll be neat to thank him in person.

Hey Tony I just talked to you earlier today from the field but you were at another field!

Saturday is the big day with the most pilots. There will be an autorotation contest around 3:00pm. There is no set schedule as far as flying. Although we can work with the needs of our guests. We may need to shut down the flight line temporarily if any full scale helicopters show up. The field is also available for night flying.
