i was wondering, i have a beam and was thinking about trying a 3S 2650 lipo from hobby city. reason being that i have a trex 500 that i could double the 2650's up for a 6S 2650. that way i can consolidate on this pack size. so the question is, does it fit? i'm pretty sure i can shoehorn it in. and also, is the weight too much. honestly the beam with a my current 3S 2200 seems really light and i wouldn't mind a bit more momentum through maneuvers. has anyone tried this battery for one that is similar in size/weight/capacity?

also i'm guessing the pack may last longer as its not running at as high a C rating compared to the 3S 2200 packs.

We use TP 3s2600 ProLite V2 on our beams. It gives us 5min flying time at about 3500 head speed.

great thanks for the reply. how does it fly with the larger battery. did you ever fly it with 2200ish lipos? did you feel the weight difference? if you did was it a nice change? more momentum through moves?

Why don't you give the Hyperion packs a try? Compared to the Zippy/s (which are excellent) the Hyperion/s have even more zip!
