hey Ty,
Me too ! I fly mine all the time. I just bought another one from a friend with extremely low flight time. I'm in the process of putt'n things together. All I like is 3 servos & a gyro/servo. wont be long now. I agree... the Gohbee Stinger 50 is a great machine all around. I heard that there will be no new helis from them in the future. But lucky for us Gohbee fliers, there's still plenty parts to support us. Happy flying ! heres a short vid of yesterday

Hey Stephen.....

Your link is working now...thanks for putting it up !
I liked watching you fly your Stinger 50 around .... 'Big Air' style...

I'm a little tried of seeing 99.9% 3D flying and .01% of other types...I guess I just like a little variety....

I do hope David comes out with a new 50 (Phazor 50??). Or a conversion
to a Phazor like 50 with G10 or carbon frames..We could use all the
same hardware and just change the frames out...that would be
COOOL....!

I'm not worried about parts either...lots of those...haha

See ya around Stephen ....

I couldn't resist commenting on what you said about the 3-D style flying. First I will say... It's impressive, & I get a kick out of watching it. But it's not for me. I also want to add that I've been flying my heli way less than a year & I realize that I've got a long way to go. Personally, I'm interested in F3C or scale flying. Like you ... I would love to here that Gohbee is coming out with something new ! Take it easy, it's been good hearing from ya.

The last I heard there was a new 50 in the works...designed completely by Gohbee....not sure of the timing though...

Take care....

Yes Gohbee is still around and hanging in there.
The Phazor 50 is still only on the computer screen.
It takes a sizable investment of both time and cash to go from the cad thru many prototypes for testing, to production and packaging. It was a big deal to come out with the Phazor 600 and some more of those kits need to sell to recoup the investment.
The current economy is not helping matters.

I know what is on the board for the new 50 so I am even more anxious than you guys are.

I own many helies of many brands, sizes and types, and my Stinger 50 is by far my favorite heli to fly.

My flying style is a mix somewhere between F3C and mild 3D.
I like to use all of the sky.

Hey Jeff....

Thanks for the info...I haven't talked to David in awhile...
I was hoping the Phazor 50 would have been out by now...it's too
bad I'm not in the market for another larger sized electric...
There are a few things I need so maybe I will place an order with David this week....by the way how did your 50 conversion to cf/g10 frames go...I know you were working on that several months ago...for your Stinger 50.

I am still working with my nitro conversion.
The version that I did was with an OS 32 Buggy engine that is "supposed" to be 3HP @ 32,000 RPM.
I have it geared down to a 2200 headspeed but am not getting the performance that I was hoping for.
I am not done messing with it yet even though I am running out of faith on getting it to work properly. The engine has a lot of power but is short on torque.

Once I give up on it then I will work on putting a either an OS 50 hyper in there or a YS61ST-2.
If I do the YS then it should be no problem upgrading to an OS70. I have the YS new in the box on the shelf.
I may do the Hyper first just to be (perish the thought) "more normal".
But then I have to go buy a Hyper.

It will all depend on what parts and budget are available in my shop at the time the decision is made.

I will keep you guys posted if there are any breakthroughs.

Thanks Jeff...

From some reason I thought you were using a hyper to begin with...
but please keep us posted with any new developments..
I would like to see some pictures...and if you start with the hyper
All the better !! If it turns out that the air frame and other mechanics are strong and light enough...maybe you could design it so... one could mount a 50 or a ninety depending on what the flyer was
looking for.

Anyway... keep it going !

Thanks for the link dialarotor, its mine I'm just not flying the big electrics. If I go to the field to fly I always have a nitro planker with me anyways so I just take the nitro helis. Its in great shape if anybody wants one they would be happy with it I'm sure.
