| First, if I was you, I would pair the 770 w/ the 3500 to start with. I'm running this combo and am very happy with the way it flies. The pinwheel stall turns are fun! I'm running my gain at 55 with the tail speep-up gear. I think I was around 61 or 62 on the gain with the stock tail drive gear.
Someone else will have to chime in on the 401, as I have no practicle experience to offer on this gyro. I have heard people complain about a constant wag w/ the 401, but I think you can get it worked out.
The 770 w/3500 will give you one great flying set-up, then you can work on the other while the first cools down.
