A bit too heavy for the Corona 120, T-Rex 450, quad rotors, tri rotors I've been flying. Got to stick to home made proto boards instead of the professional stuff.

Yep, still rock solid.

I liked the piro ascent/descent video the best.

I want to see you:

1) chase a car through a tunnel.

2) fly low above rough water.

3) turn off your transmitter and take control with another.

Then I want to see you put on a ballerina's tutu and ride a unicycle while juggling the two controllers and land the bird in manual mode.

Nothing too serious, however.....

Consider it done.

I may have something better...

chase a car through a tunnel.

You'd have to fly in manual. No probs.

How low?

Not possible with 2.4 with one RX.
Remember I was asking about a redundant TX system? ....never got an answer.... mmmm

You can fly thru a tunnel in Auto mode. You have 30sec GPS loss hold position feature.

I will like to see a video if you do that.

You in a Tutu not something I need to see.

Mmmm... not too many tunnels here with no traffic...

Let me look around.

Vortex,

You can switch from Manual to Auto mode, during flight, but it's not advisable. When switching to AUTO mode you should not be applying any input. When input is given while switching to AUTO mode the heli will drift.

Switching from manual to auto mode and back-and-forth is possible.

Its instant.

When switching from AUTO to Manual pay attention to the position of the throttle stick. The heli may descend or ascend rapidly.

In an emergency you wouldn't want a delay.

Too bad the top speed of the system is so slow, but I can see why the designers would do this with an entry-level system.

If you are taking requests Noobs, I think flying a square pattern might really show how different a system like this is from normal heli flying. It would also demonstrate performance quite well. Something like the following:

Start with the heli hovering nose-in about 25 feet away and at a height of 15 feet. After several seconds hold the stick so the heli moves to your left about 75 feet. Let it hover several seconds and then move it 75 feet back. After several more seconds move it 75 feet to the right. Hover for a few seconds and then bring it 75 feet forward to the original starting point. Then finish with a 30 second hands-off hover. If you really want to get fancy a video insert showing transmitter stick movement would be instructive for some, but most importantly you really want to always see the ground and the helicopter so flight performance can be judged.

If you are really feeling adventurous you could put some aluminum foil over the GPS antenna and see if you can get attitude-only stabilization.
