I live in a city and fly SRB Quarks with foam blades. I was thinking of getting a B400 but if I have to drive to farm country to fly it, I'm not sure if i'd go to the trouble. Can you fly one in a park? If you lose radio control, can it go off somewhere and do injury/damage?

A blade 400 could definitely leave some good marks on somebody. I fly at local parks, but I'm usually out there when their are no people in the immediate area.

To be honest I still feel somewhat confined flying mine around a soccer field. You'll just have to use your own good judgment as to where and when you should fly.

Good luck!

A friend of mine lost an eye to a 400 size heli. Don't underestimate the size. It can do some damage.

Nothing wrong here, we all had to start somewhere...

If you are not comfortable flying the B400 in public, then don't. I suggest that you do go out to the farm or better yet, a flying club site. Where you can get help from experienced pilots.

Can you fly one in a park?

I don't know, it all depends on your city ordinances and above all the neighbors. Once one of them complains, then you are screwed. What is the park used for? How big is it? Are there any ordinances against RC operations? How comfortable do you feel flying it in that park, that size?

If you don't treak the quark as if it could potentially do damage, then I can't help you, and doubt that anybody can. It just gets worse from there.

If there are little kids, DO NOT FLY. They think its some little toy that won't hurt them.

You won't have to drive to the country though haha.

lets put this to a picture, this was done by a trex 450 you can put the same blade size on a blade 400 so you do the math.
