Brian,
Houston and the surrounding areas do have some ordinances on the books.
technically it is illegal to fly RC in public areas like that where it could endanger others.
That's why we have so many City RC parks set aside in Houston and surrounding cities and counties.

there have been local fatalities and the city takes it pretty seriously.

You may want to call the non emergency police line and get some more info.
but in that case of flying an 600 E class heli in an apartment I think they will send someone out.

Is this the same Tard you called and told me about?

Ok after seeing the video and where hes flying.. for sure call the Police.
Houston and Cyprus and other suburbs will not tolerate that blatent disregard for safety and propertly.
when he crashes that.. and he will there.. its going to hit a car or a person.

and even if he has AMA they are not going to cover it since hes breaking every rule in the manual.
and he looks like a kid so I doubt he has homeowners.
its going to be a bad deal when that heli hits a car a building or a person..

ever see what happens when a 600 hits a car its not pretty.

I am not usually one to chime in on things like this but I have to say I was floored when I watched this video....unbelievable. I would definitely make a phone call to the authorities on this one.

Just my .02, if you know of this situation and do nothing you are just as liable as the person flying the heli. You Must inform the property management office or the police. The life you save could be your own. He may be ignorant of the threat he is placing on those living near him so he really needs to be told to take it elsewhere.

I cant believe you suggested that! WHATS WRONG WITH YOU

The whole point here was to do no damage or hurt anyone.

You must be as stupid as the guy flying

Show videos of the Chinese news, the one that says that a man was killed by a RC helicopter...that might get people around you thinking. Or have a complex meeting to talk about this. One thing is sure, and everyone has been saying it here, something has to be done quickly.
Good luck

I wish I could fly 24/7

idiot flying

Better yet just kick the punk in the nuts before he kills someone! We've had it with this type of BS around these parts! Just call the police.

Hopefully he will get bored flying there before something bad happens.

Looks like a new heli addiction cant resist the temptation to show it off no matter the consequence.

+ one on contacting the building management its in there best interest to ask him not to operate his model on there property. Must be something in the lease about the safety and comfort of others.

A child could have run up to it where he landed it.

Have you flown with him at an AMA sanctioned club field?

Is he an AMA member?

If not you could invite him to fly at a club field much more fun than flying in an apartment complex.

Someone take this heli addict into there club and get him off the street.

Good luck

Still, if he knows you and you don't want him to know who reported, send a letter to the complex management stating you are a resident and you have seen what appears to be a very dangerous situation created by a renter in (area or apt number here) and you fear for the safety of children and other residence. State you are not signing the letter for fear of being harassed by the guy. (Don't use a return adx on the envelop )

You said he was down (crashed) so a day or two for the letter to reach management should be OK.

edit: Reporting someone, even a dangerous dumbass can be stressful, but you are doing the right thing.

Sheesh, give me the name of the complex, the address etc, and I'll call the management. There should not even be a question in your mind about this, put a stop to it NOW!!!

I pulled this pic from the Simulator Thread. The post pertained to a newbie of sort not learning the correct way of flight, "because he or she did'nt use a simulator", and just figured it was a nasty RC accident of some sort.

So it looks like the guy pulled this video from his youtube file, and earaised it. So hopfully he seen this thread, and all the bad and unsafe reasons why he SHOULD NOT do this in a crowded parkinglot.

I figured he might jump on here and beg for forgivness, and say he was sorry, and that he would never do it again....
