Hi,

I just bought an Hornet X-CP and all parts needed to convert with 3 blades rotor head. (Price of kit is 44€ -> 60USD )

I think use Align GP750 & DS420 on tail and HS-55's on the cyclic.
For the motor, I have a MS-116, I think the Axi 2208/20 (= Twister X I seems to me) are good choice.

I must use the TE490, or I can using other 25 cm blades ?

Any specials recommendations with this things ?

Thank You

The TE490 GF thin flexible blades may well be better suited to a 3 blade head configuration without flybar damping (see the MSc Ecureuil ). The lack off a flybar does effect the cyclic handling, particularly noticeable exiting FF to hover when an odd 'pitch up' effect occurs but can be quite flyable for cruising around if you add some swash plate control advance to correct the cyclic phase with the Tx sticks.

Not sure how other stiffer ~257mm blades would handle.

The Hornet X-CP is a face lifted HII and has a few features missing that might make the setup more challenging, like not having a one way bearing (see this recent post).

Yes, I already had a Hornet X-3D and I saw that the X-CP have more old parts like carbon tail drive shaft, no one way bearing... but I did not find a X-3D kit on MSComposit online shop (discotinued ? )

At the time, I did not like the o-ring dampened X-3D head, I saw that the 3 Blades have no dampening, the negatif effects are more importants with stiff blades ?

If I apair a set of 3 aftermarket blades (weight, CG...) it should operate normally I think
