Nice to hear from you Tom and it is always great to hear about those that use the search function first before just blurting out their questions.

It is aso good to hear that you plan to help others as your knowledge base increases.

1410

Im lurker number 1410

As of now i have a raven 30 and a blade 400. I have crashed my blade numerous times, but my raven has yet to feel the effects of gravity. When the budget allows "when i graduate college this spring" i will turn my raven 30 into a scale and get a nx 50. I forget the proper name for the fuse, but im looking at the one that has channel 4 on it. Not too often you see a model of a news chopper

The century comunity has been very helpful to me so thank you guys!

Go easy on me, I'm new!

That should prove a great build and great flying scaler.

A number of years ago, I did the 30 version with an OS32 engine. I thought that may not have been enough power. After building it, I found the OS32SXH flew it very well for scale. It would even roll, loop and do 540 stall turns.

The retracts were a bit of a fiddle to get working 100%, but they looked so kool in operation, I found them well worth it.

Unfortunately, when they came out with the even more detailed 50 version I sold my 30 to get the 50. Alas, I still have not got a round to it, as I spent the money on their 50 size Bell 47GIII with the OS46 and have been having a ball with it (It autos like a feather!!)

But I still plan a 50 B222 sometime in the future.

Almost did the Bell 47G thing as I always wanted to do one in MASH drab ... one day I guess.
But, the 222 just blew me away!
The mechanics will be dropped-off here at the office on Monday while I pick-up the big box with the fuselage from the courier on Wednesday morning, at the airport, right after I drop the wife and mother-in-law off, for their vacation flight ...can I time stuff or what?
Engine, RX, servos, gyro and other bits and pieces were arriving at my office all last week ...my secretary is totally confused.
Looking forward to the build. Always found there's just as much pleasure building as there is flying ...I just love fussing over my Motorcycle and Helicopters after a hard day's work.
BTW Will have to figure out an explanation for the new heli before her return!
Thanks for responding, Cletus

Cletus, You will have just as much if not more fun building the model. As an engineer i find building more fun than flying, well almost. Scale models are the most fun to me for I like a model to fly and look like the real thing. Im not much into the "3D" type of flying but love the sport flying with the high speed passes with rolls and flips as you move from east to west down the tarmack. Good luck and burn some more fuel!!

If it doesn't fly sell it!
