When set up for Stable I seem to have a fair amount of up/down movement in the grips. Is this the angular movement that is referred to in the manual to allow the blades to cone at lower head speed? It seems like a lot of movement but I’ve never had a heli designed for F3C type flying. There is no lead-lag movement in the grips. Also there is no play in the stack-up on the feathering shaft…grips do not move in or out when pushed or pulled. I have not spooled it up yet as I’m still waiting on a gyro. What do ya think? Thanks!
Setup…Black Inserts, Stable; Trailing Link and 60/90 O-rings

With the stable set up as per the manual, there is a lot of up/down movement on the grips. The damping is quite soft to allow the blades to cone as you state. This allows the disk to move without unsettling the heli when a gust of wind occurs

It is perfeclty ok

I did everything as per the manual and I went "Stable" also. I went over everything carefully and it fly's per spec. If you get the head setup just right you will only need a click or two on trim. It just dials in so quickly.

Yes...

They fly real nice compared to the temporary 710 3D ones I had on for the initial break-in. Much more stable at lower headspeed and at higher headspeeds as well.

Cool, I just got a nice deal on a set of the blades and the Rotor Tech paddles. How much pitch on the collective and cyclic and what are your head speeds? Are you running your weights inboard or outboard on the flybar?

My pitch settings are right at what the setup guide called for. Normal mode I'm at 1550, Mode 1, 1700, Mode 2 1850. These are tentative as I'm still setting it up and playing with the various adjustments to see what works best.

I also have the F3C RotorTech paddles. I installed them with the weights all the way out against the paddle.
