My Posts This: Topic Forum | Miramar R/C Flyers will be hosting their first helicopter fun fly "Rotors Over Miramar" July 11th and 12th.
This will be an AMA sanctioned event so AMA membership will be required to fly.
The club is located onboard MCAS Miramar and for that reason much of the SoCal heli community has not had a chance to experience our club. For the 2 day event our gates will be open for fun, flying and friends. Don't miss out on this chance to fly at Miramar San Diego.
All pilots from novice to factory pilots are welcome. Factory demos will be arranged on as needed basis. Fun events are in the planning such as auto contest and limbo contest. Sport, 3D, scale flying are all welcome. The main prepose of the event is to open the gates and let the SoCal heli community get together for some fun. Out of town quests are also welcome and encouraged, Below are a list of hotels located very close to the field. NO OVERNIGHT CAMPING/MOTOR HOMES ONSIGHT. Because we are on military property we will need to lock up at night.
Food and local Hobby vendors will be on site.
Raffles are in the works. I'll keep you posted as we get the details worked out.

The gate will be open at 7:30am
Pilot registration will begin at 8:00am
Registration fee is $20 and will cover you for both days.
Flying will begin at 9:00am and go until we get tired .
