Here's a metal swash plate driver mod I did after mine was broken, while still waiting for parts availability..

This was made out of an old computer heatsink..

The only mod's I did was related to the tail. I replaced the tail hub with a Thunder Tiger PV0499 because I like the design better. I replaced the tail fork with a metal one. It's either Thunder Tiger or Mavrikk.

I also used a left over mixing arm from my Raptor parts bin to make a pivot point for the front mounted tail servo. Then I lengthen the tail servo rod a bit with some Nyrod and threaded pushrod. You can make up the front half with some CF pushrod and JB Weld but I was fortunante enough to get the factory option push rod.

Here is the picture.

I use a grinding disc mounted on a drill, and touch-up with a dremel.. Sounds like hard work, but it's really not.. as the hardest part was cutting off all the fins on the heat sink..

Think it's time to work on a DIY CNC mill

Yeah.. Did these mod also, but still prefers the ElyQ tail hub simply because it has one less belt guild wheel, and I also like it's open look, but the design is kind of a waste as the hub is strong with all the reinforcement but with a weak outer rim for the bearing, that is how I ended with a TT tail hub after a crash as the part holding the bearing broke sending my Kasama Tail rotor with the bearing diving 50 feet into some tall bushes..

The mod for the front mounted rudder was easy with some old raptor parts.. Unfortunately, can't use a carbon rod at the boom as the tip of the tail control lever was too close to the hub..

I used ElyQ tail casing and all the other parts, just the hub itself. I don't like using hollow black metal grub screws to hold the tail blade grips on! The hub itself is the same design as the TT PV0151 tail hub which is known to have issues with the tail grub screw breaking. The PV0499 eliminates this issue by putting the grub screws 90 deg and using a solid one piece design to hold the tail grip bearings in place.

Here is a picture of the PV0499 top, stock ElyQ tail hub and the TT PV0151 hub.

Oops.. Yeah.. Got confuse with the hub and cases, it's the tail case I'm referring to having a weak rim for the bearings, although well designed with strong reinforcement, but it's like wasted material on areas that don't need them.

I don't consider this a "mod" but I did put a small dab of clear silicone RTV in the frame pockets where the fuel tank nubs rest in during assembly. This is a trick from the Raptors to help minimize the effect of vibrations from cutting into the tank nubs.

Another tail thing - I put a wrap of shrink tubing around the tail gear to hold the tail gear pin in place - an additional Raptor learned trick.
