I tried these Ds450 servos on my blade 400 and wow they are really good. First thing I noticed that they were smaller, lighter, faster and made way more torque than the HS-65mg servos I was using before plus they are also metal gear and Digital and the price is also right. The HS-65MG at 4.8v is 0.14sec and the DS 450 at 4.8v is 0.12. They can handle 6v without a problem. In flight they feel more responsive and more locked in especially under load like doing 4 point tic tocs. Under power if I push on the swashplate there is zero movement they center awesome. I am also running a CC BEC. The servo leads are shorter so for the back ones that was perfect since they are so close to the RX less wire to worry about and for the front I used a short servo extention. Just thought you guys would like to know of another servo option for our helis. Here are some pics

Notice the room between the servos

I had to oval the hole a little since they are a tad shorter.

DS470

Hey Buildem,
I notice the DS470 is the same size/weight yet considerably faster. Why wouldn't you choose those instead?

I went with these because I wanted the extra torque they offered over the DS470. The DS 450 is already fast enough for me.

Wah-hoo

Just ordered 3 DS450s for my razorblade (got sick of the whimpy/sloppy spektrums).

I originally ordered Hitec 65MGs for it but then realized they weigh 12 grams each - too much for the mini-blade so I put them in my B400 where they are currently kicking ass!!

I like that the Neu's only weigh 9g's and are smaller than the H65s. Thanks Buildem!

Only thing left to to make my razorblade the utimate CP is a Futaba 520 gyro: only TEN GRAMS!! (I'm already down to 255gs )

Ino Labs Servo

Does anyone know if you can run an Inolabs 202 servo in digital with a 401 Gyro?
