Try some Zeal tape for your gyro. Zeal tape has a gelatinous center that absorbs vibration and works especially well with nitro applications. Sometimes that will solve quirky gyro issues.

I FINALLY figured it out!!!! After 3 months of measuring, swapping, balancing, cursing, and quitting I got it! I am using a Futaba radio, and in the gyro menu, there is a setting for "mix." I changed it from INH to ACT and it is all set now. I can set the gain up to 45% with no wag (I usually run 30%). No wag coming out of a hard turn anymore. It is flying like it should. I don't know why this became a problem, because I don't think I ever had this turned on, but it became a problem by itself. Does anyone know what this setting does, the manual is not very clear (shocking).

LOL

It's the simple things sometimes.

INH = Inhibit
ACT = Active

In short, if its inhbited then you can put whatever you want in those numbers and the menu won't do anything, you'd be getting 100 percent gain from the end points

But the gain did have some influence on the tail, if it was increased, then the tail would wag like it should, if the gain was decreased, it would start to drift. I don't know, but I am ecstatic that is fixed. Now I have a pile of spare parts to keep on hand.

I know what ACT/INH mean, I just don't fully understand what "mix" it it turning on. If the gain had some influence, then what is is controlling when the mix is off? Is it possibly a less accurate setting?

Well you might have had it assigned to something like a slider or rotory knob.

Changing those numbers does nothing if its inhibited. Bust out the servo monitor screen, inhibit it, and play with switches and knobs and see what moves the channel 5 bar
