i have mine done with the ca on one of my hawks same boom and stuff since 2005 never has come unglued at any time never has failed nothing go with the ca it just takes a pin drop no more then that holds fine.

Some great ideas here!!

I have tried various glue ideas over the years and when applied properly, they all worked quite well. Now I will have to try BM1's screw idea one of these days. Seems like it would also work very well.

Been flying a fully up graded Sport and a raven for 4 years without the guides. I used a 4mm carbon rod weight is low compared to strength have never had an issue since. If you think the carbon rods are not stiff enough just ask a giant scale guy what he uses. GS plane rods are 2 to 4 times the length of our tails ESP if your servo is mounted on the boom
