I'm just curious to see how many of you RR guys are flying the LaHeli micro helis. I still love mine! 9 minutes of 3D on an electric heli is hard to beat these days.

After flying 5-6 other micros for some time, the MaxiR / Ricco is the uHeli I ended up staying with.

I can't quite do photos right this second (I don't have any hosted anywhere), so a video will have to do for now:
On Youtube "HD"
Download link, 85mb 720p30 version, please right click and save target as

I'll upload some pics to my site later and link them back here.

psst - John - you got a video camera for Saturday? Hopefully my new tail rotor servo will arrive by then. I'm getting some new paddles to try, too. Soon ALL of my helis will be airworthy once again! Whooohoo!

can anybody chime in as to why my flip and roll rate is so slow all of a sudden?? have a buddy that has the same issue. everything is free and smooth, makes me think it's the servo's but on both maxir's I don't think so! p.s. I'm running the carbon paddles

Did you change rotor blades by chance? Going from carbons to plastic blades will do what you describe.

I think it's funny that this thread was moved to "New and Emerging" when the maxir/ricco has been the premier micro heli for four years now.

Dave,

I don't think you'll need that camera tomorrow. 10-20 mph winds the little Maxir will get blown into Ohio!

i just remembered my wife's camera will take video so I'll bring it anyway. You know how it is, there's always a break in the wind. Now, it's time to put that servo that the mailman just brought me into the Maxir.

Interesting. If your cyclic rate is slower all of a sudden, there's really only a few things that would do that. If the headspeed is slower (batteries degraded? cold weather?) that would do it, or else there would be something going on in the radio setup that reduces the swashplate tilt. Any ideas what may have changed?
