the side by side is a great photo. Now I am really leaning towards getting one

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

Well looks like JR sold atleast one. I guess the economy isn't that bad especially when someone can pony up $700 for a 500e airframe.

Enjoy!

500E

That is one SUPER expensive 500 airframe...lol..

I saw 7 of these kits at helidirect the other day

I asked them what they were going to do with them...they said "probably send them back"...lol....

I opened one up ...and while it is a nice machine...HOLY CRAP...700 doesn't get you a motor/servos/esc or even blades

That JUST for the Airframe

Nice machine though

I seen one at the Toledo show last week. It is very well built it looks much stronger than the t-rex 500. The only thing holding me back is the price tag.

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

Yep, Don't know whatever JR/Horizon Hobby is on. But, I want some. Their prices are wayyyyyy up there. I can only say the quality of the kit is top notch. Should have the maiden flight in the next couple of days.

Was at Hobby Hut today. There were 3 kits left after I got mine last Friday, and to no suprise they are still there today.

Japanese version is sold at 572USD right now( Add paypal charges and shipping...). I think this include the carbon blades already included with the 4S version. 777USD with Hacker motor and ESC (very good ESC, i'm flying my SVE with it for a long time). You will need the Hacker USB module to program the ESC if they did'nt changed the stock configuration. Be careful about the switch on the ESC. It's a basic switch, not an inverted one. I checked it today. So i cuted the wires and soldered them together. It's much more safe this way.

I agree it's expensive but it's really an impressive heli. 3 of my friends are flying SVE 4S or 5S and all of them are as much happy as they can be.

About ref numbers in the manual: You only have to remove the first 9 for each part to got the japanese ref number. I think the spare parts will be much cheaper in Japan (Usually 30%).

Japanese version is sold with 3 pinions: 12T (6S), 14T (5S) and 17T (4S). 14T pinion ref number: (9)61387. 17T pinion ref number: (9)61237

I don't think it's so overpriced (i'm thinking to the Japanese version). Overal quality is so good (conception and material), it flyes so well and with so little maintenance to do that price is worth it, compared to an ugly T-500. Unfortunately you have to have assembled and flown one to understand this. Sad.

Well it's very good news!

It's the Japanese power combo. ESC is very good but you will need the Hacker USB module to program it. Until recently they was delivered with governor and soft start not activated and radio programming was not possible. In fact this last one is one option among a lot that could be activated or not with the USB module.

Beside the weight usually given for the heli is wrong. My SVE4S is now optioned to the Vibe 500 configuration and my weight without batt is 1450g. I dont think 1800g could be true.
