| Craig9080 Senior Heliman Holland, MA USA | Hey everyone,Well this past Wednesday, myself and a friend where at the football field flying our 450s (i have a beam, he has a rex SE) and their was a breeze that kicked up to 10MPH every now ans then, but most of the time it was constant. My Friend takes his rex up for some nice circuits and after doing some gentle turns he decides to try some fast piros, he does a blazing left hand piro and off pops the canopy and shooting from behind is the battery that launches 20 yards down field. The heli then autos for a good 10 meters and then decides to drop like a rock for the last meter, breaking his skids. Honestly, this was the funniest crash i had ever seen, and probably cheapest too (the pack was fine...after being charged in a metal pot in the middle of a parking lot). So after a quick damage assessment and some thankful remarks, i put my beam in the air. I'm no 3d pilot, but i do like aggressive forward flight, so my heli is a little on the "twitchy" side. Im doing some fast flybys, going down one end, banking around the field goal posts and then flying up the far side. I like to keep my heli about 2 meters off the ground in the flyby so i can see it better and "feel" the speed. well, one pass i let it go a little too far away from me on a turn so i make a more than 180 turn to bring it coming back over the field in a criss cross, i look 3 meters in front of my heli and THERE IS THE TV SCAFFOLDING. They must have just put it there, it wasnt there the day prior. So right now, im 2m off the ground and screaming down the field and about 3m from a blue piped heli killer, so i pull back and slam on the pitch. My heli goes perpendicular to the ground and shoots in like a lawn dart from hell. $64 later and my parts are in the mail. All in all, awesome day of flying
