Anyone know which internet companies in the USA sells the Hornet 3DX? I searched everywhere on the internet and nobody sells the 3DX. Is it discontinued or is a new one coming out to replace it? Is the 3DX currently the top-of-the-line pod and boom model or is there a better one made by MS Composit?

Looks like the Hornet line is discontinued

You could buy a close-out X-FP kit and convert it to X-3D

Not that it matters but it was known an X-3D, 3DX is a different heavier (ali) Asian model variant.

Unless I see/here otherwise, I think the Hornet line is fading out. For a simular style light weight economic heli (low disk loading and long runtimes for sport to 3D flying), in some ways has advantages, check out the "MaxIR" or "Ricco" distributed from "LA Heli" in Europe to the US (and a few online outlets) .

Last time I looked I had trouble finding MaxiR products in the US

My recommendations for this size heli would be Trex250 or Guai200

Actually, LA Heli parts are readily available at two locations in the US. They can be found at http://www.elektrorc.com/ and http://www.gothelirc.com/default.asp

Parts support asside, it depends on what characteristics and flying experience you want from a micro heli. The choice between higher rpm, high disk loading performance with shorter run times verses a larger rotor, lower head speeds and economic runtime with 3D performance.

Here is a 4s lithium MaxIR tuned setup.
